Note from Superintendent Johnson

Good Afternoon Students, Parents, and Community Members of LPS…

Earlier today, at approximately 12:45 p.m., I was made aware that a school in Park County had received a “swatting email” vaguely referring to bomb threats to schools across the state of Montana. It was also brought to my attention that local law enforcement felt that due to the nature, composition, and recipient list of the email, there was no valid threat to any area schools, including LPS, and that we should continue to conduct “business as normal”. We have made every effort to notify admin, supervisors, and staff of the issue and continue to focus on the safety of our students and staff.
